1. Ensure the correct size adapter is installed and tightened properly to prevent any leaks. Position the gasket in a downward direction.

Filling the Coolant Funnel

1. With the engine off, fill the coolant funnel about one-third full while the system is cold. This will allow the fluid to enter the system as the system "burps" rather than introducing more air.

Setting the Climate Controls

1. Set the climate control or heater settings to the hot position, but ensure the fan/heater is turned off.

Starting the Engine and Allowing the System to Warm Up

1. Start the engine and let it idle until the thermostat opens and the cooling fans turn on. As the system warms up, the coolant level will drop, and you may see air bubbles escaping the cooling system.

Checking the Overflow Tank

1. After the engine has been running for a standard duration, check the overflow tank. If you still see air bubbles coming out, ensure the overflow tank has coolant in it.

Monitoring the Fluid Level

1. While the engine is running, the fluid level should be at the low position. Keep the engine idling and shut it down if the fluid level rises excessively. Wait for the level to drop before restarting the engine.

Completing the Filling Process

1. Once the bubbling has stopped, use the Fluid Stopper to contain any remaining fluid in the funnel.
